    Employee Driver Development

    Driver Development

Almost identical to our Advanced Course but geared to the employee/driver and includes a risk assessment.

Using your normal work vehicle, this course is also the means we use to cover any particular faults shown in a separate Risk Assessment and includes a demonstration drive by the instructor

The day starts with a short, informal theory session where we discuss what we’re going to show you and explain the thinking behind the police driving method.  It’s then out onto the road, explaining the various techniques.

This course is not going to make you an advanced driver in just one day, but it will show you many defensive techniques and a completely different way of reading the road around you.  You will learn how to really “see” the road, the correct use of the gearbox, how to approach and properly negotiate hazards and the “Vanishing Point” technique for taking bends correctly and safely.

We will also show you how to drive more smoothly, achieve better fuel economy and make your vehicle last longer.  We teach you a simple tip to help you avoid speed camera fines.

This course is either a half-day (3.5 hours) on a “one-to-one” basis or a full day for two people together.  We find the full day for two has certain advantages as well as being slightly cheaper.
